It’s our goal to develop athletes into baseball players that not only are good at the sport, but also understand what it means to be part of a positive, team first culture. We’re not looking for the best players, we’re looking for players that are dedicated, coachable and fun to be around.

Kurt Hewes
Coach Tarr has more than 20 years experience coaching in Northern Virginia and around the DMV. After 15 years as a high school coach at various levels, he spent the past five years coaching at the collegiate level split between Georgetown, Coppin State, and Mount Saint Mary’s. He began the Cadets program in 2010.

Kurt has been coaching baseball since 2010 and has been training athletes/running Ignite since it began in 2016. As a coach, it’s his goal to develop baseball players, not robots. On his teams, failure is embraced as a part the path towards our goal. Hard work, and respect for others will be very important for players on his team.

Ignite Certified Hitting Instructor. All MEAC twice at two positions. Black college nines all HBCU team. Spent 2 years at shoreline community college in the Seattle area.

13U Head Coach
Jake Cunningham
-Jake is a Northern Virginia local. He was a high school baseball player at Loudoun County and a key player under Coach Brenton Peters. He participated in American Legion World Series run with American Legion Post 34 and earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from James Madison University where he served as President of the Club Baseball Program. He currently teaches Sports Psychology and AP US Government at Lake Braddock Secondary School.

Coach Rohman has been coaching for our organization for the past 3 years and has proven to be an excellent coach who has demonstrated time and time again to not only be a knowledgeable coach but also to have a high level of emotional intelligence.
Michael (Scooter) Abarham

Michael (Scooter) Abarham
Scooter was a 2 time All-State Shortstop.
His team won the Idaho 5A State Championship. After High School, he played at Walla Walla Community College and 1 Season for the Idaho Cubs before medical problems derailed his playing career. He now works as a professional musician.

Felix Zamot
Coach Zamot has been with us since 2019, previously he was the head coach of our 17U team and the 15U and did an excellent job. Coach Zamot played college ball at Salem State University in Massachusetts.
